Select Board Approves Jopp's 3% Merit Raise

Select Board · Meeting of September 29, 2026

Wellesley Select Board awards Executive Director Megan Jopp a 3 percent merit raise. Chair Marjorie Freiman cited a "staggering" year of work, including recruiting Finance Director Rachel DeRoche and launching the Townwide Capital Planning Committee, CapCom; the board approved her composite review unanimously. Members also unanimously approved CapCom project proposals for the Wellesley Square Reconstruction and the Weston Road/Linden Street intersection without ranking which gets 2027 funding priority, and endorsed Bylaw Review Committee language for two 2027 Special Town Meeting articles.

Town Clerk Casey Cato reported more than 6,200 mail-ballot requests already in for the nine-question November 3 state election. The board closed by voting 5-0 to enter executive session on Wellesley Patrol Officers Association negotiations and litigation with Albany Road Wellesley LLC.
