Permanent Building Committee · Meeting of October 22, 2026

Wellesley's Permanent Building Committee honored retiring Design and Construction Manager Stephen D. Gagosian and approved routine business unanimously. Chair Michael Tauer credited Gagosian, a Facilities Management Department staffer who previously served on the committee itself around 2002, with saving the town "probably millions of dollars" over his tenure. Project Manager Glenn D. Remick reported a roofing subcontractor fabricated metal panels "three inches too short" for the DPW Recycling and Disposal Facility administration building, pushing the project back roughly two weeks and prompting the committee to pull two payment requisitions from review.

Members voted 4-0, with Matt King absent, to approve the October 8 meeting minutes and separately to approve two invoices, including a payment to Oracle for the quarterly submittal exchange system. The committee also flagged a drafting error in its draft fiscal year 2026 annual report that incorrectly attributed a School Committee decision to the PBC.
