Housing Authority · Meeting of October 15, 2026

WELLESLEY — The Wellesley Housing Authority approved its revised 2026 budget and two service contracts while disclosing a deepening maintenance staffing shortage. The board, led by Chairperson Maura Renzella, approved September bill payments totaling $425,079.77 and awarded contracts to Kitchen and Floor Decor ($22,678.58) and Eric C. Shaw Mechanical ($25,810). Deputy Executive Director James Sullivan said maintenance supervisor Alex Tenlin has resigned after nearly five years and the agency is "losing two of four maintenance staff," complicating efforts to fill nine reported vacant units.

The board also tabled its personnel manual to November and confirmed staff are interviewing two local housing authorities over Zoom about a possible management agreement targeted for around December 1. A parking lot renovation remains delayed, with an interim lot at 888 Worcester Street ending in October and a shuttle bus to Wellesley Center under consideration.
