WELLESLEY — The Wellesley Housing Authority approved a partnership with the Watertown Housing Authority to bring a resident financial self-sufficiency program to town properties. The board voted 3-0 to enter the intergovernmental agreement, with staff estimating the only cost to Wellesley would be postage, under $200. Resident Board Member Renee Spencer said the program "has been very successful" and that tenants had been asking for it.
Separately, the board tabled a staff request to pursue Community Preservation Committee funding for a camera and security upgrade after Vice Chairperson Janice Coduri and Spencer raised concerns, with Coduri saying "I don't feel comfortable supporting that right now." The board also approved a $343,083.43 check warrant and a $39,435 flooring contract to Talty Floors.
