WELLESLEY — May 15, 2025 — Wellesley Housing Authority approves $97,154 in bills and demands a capital project timeline. The board unanimously approved the bill payment warrant and the April 17 minutes at its May 15 meeting at 315 Weston Road, then drilled into first-quarter results showing electricity spending of $103,599 against a $51,752 straight-line quarterly target, with gas similarly over. Staff attributed the variance to "the three darkest months and the three coldest months" and a budget divided evenly across 12 months. Board member Renee Spencer asked staff to return in June with a prioritized rollout schedule for capital projects including a new Weston Road bike shed, playground fencing, parking lot resurfacing and a $12,000 interior gate project that has not started. Staff said the $20,000 vacancy turnover line is already spent on two units and $15,000 in trauma-cleaning services has been paid out.
